Yes - Orbit has Making Tax Digital for Income Tax built in (HMRC production approval in progress). Your quarterly figures are calculated from your lesson income and expenses as you use the app, and you review and submit each update yourself. You do not need separate tax software or a spreadsheet.

No. Orbit is useful for all ADIs regardless of income level. If you earn under the Making Tax Digital threshold, you still get lesson booking, payment collection, and income tracking. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is now mandatory for self-employed earners over £50,000, and over £30,000 from April 2027.

Most ADIs are taking bookings within 3 minutes. You enter your working hours, lesson rate, and share your booking link. There is no data migration required - you start fresh and your new pupils book directly.

Yes. Each instructor gets a personal booking page (e.g. drivepro.app/book/your-name). Pupils choose an available slot and pay by card to confirm the booking. When they owe money, you can send a payment request by SMS - they tap the link and pay by card via Stripe. You receive funds directly to your bank account.

Orbit does not replace your existing lesson history - it manages new bookings and payments going forward. You can manually add existing pupil records if you want to track their progress through Orbit.

Yes. Orbit is a progressive web app - it installs on your phone from the browser (no App Store download required) and works offline for core features. It is designed to be usable between lessons, not just at a desk.

Yes - our Enterprise plan supports multiple instructors with centralised billing and admin. Each instructor has their own calendar and booking page; you see a consolidated view and can run school-wide income reports.

Orbit is free for driving instructors and trainee instructors: no subscription, no contract, no card needed, and every feature included. A booking fee is added to lessons booked or paid online through the app, paid by the learner: the greater of £2.99 or 4% of the lesson subtotal.
